An incongruous pairing?
Exteriors, interiors, cafes, hotels, people. You'll guess and sometimes your guess will surprise you. Is this an image of Paris or of Oakland? What IS image? What is Oakland? What is Paris? Who are you in these places? Where are you?
Therein lies the puzzle. Voilà où se situe l'énigme.
This is an hommage to Oakland, my home. Paris has been my muse for years. But lately I look at my Paris photos then wander around Oakland discovering the evocative feeling and essence of Paris. I've found places in Oakland that crush the stereotypes and transport you to places of beauty that rival or surpass those found in Paris. This is Oakland |
